Ukraine's customs service banned imports of pork from Vladimir Oblast of Russia
State Customs Service of Ukraine has prohibited imports of pig breeding products from Vladimir Oblast of Russian Federation, LigaBusinessInform news agency reported.
The corresponding letter of Customs Service notifies that according to an official report of International Epizootic Bureau, a case of a dangerous pig disease - classical pig plague - has been registered in Suzdal Raion of Vladimir Oblast. In this connection, the Ukrainian authorities banned the imports of pigs, pig meat, products and raw materials from this region of Russia.
Classical pig plague is a viral disease, having 80 to 100 percent lethality rate.
