Ukrainian feed production decreased in January

According to State Statistics Committee, the volume of Ukrainian compound feed production in January 2005 decreased 8 percent compared to December and totalled 149,400 tonnes.

At the same time 18 percent increase in production is seen (by 22,900 tonnes) in comparison with January 2004.

The leaders of compound feed production in January remained the same: Mironovskiy Plant (30,000 tonnes), Complex Agromars (15,400 tonnes), JSC Borispol Experimental Feed Plant (10,800 tonnes).

Carryover stocks of compound feed at the end of January decreased by 4 percent from December to 12,700 tonnes.

For 7 months of the current season Ukraine produced 979,200 tonnes of compound feeds, which is by 14 percent (or 122,000 tonnes) up from the same period last season.
