Ukraine: Ministry of Economy to abolish storage documents for grain

Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is set to abolish several legal regulations of storage documentation for grain, the register of this documentation and the way of its keeping.

Giving comments on this decision, Viktor Andriyevskiy, Director of joint project of EBRD and ACDIVOCA aimed at introduction in Ukraine of the system of warehouse certificates, pointed out that crediting of agrarians on the security of warehouse certificates contributes much to economy of the industry.

According to V. Adriyevskiy, taking into account that EBRD, ACDIVOCA and US agency of international development USAID invested into the project slightly over $1 million, the economic result of the program makes $500 for each invested US dollar.
