Criminal case started against Donetsk company for infringements in imports of meat

Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk Oblast has started a criminal case against company Inagro Ltd. on the fact of violating requirements of the Law "On Special Economic Zones and Special Regime of Investment Activities in Donetsk Oblast".

Press-service of General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine has informed that in the course of checks it was established that the executives of Inagro Ltd., with the aim of evasion from obligatory payments and obtaining illegitimate preferences, during the years 2001-2005 had been providing a knowingly false information about imports of meat products, supplied by non-resident companies.

The meat products, imported onto the territory of Ukraine under the pretext of being aimed for production of sausages and other processed products at Snezhnoye Sausage Factory (Donetsk Oblast), were being actually sold unprocessed on the territory of Ukraine within and outside Donestk Oblast.

The Prosecutor Office states that illegitimate activities of the company have resulted in underpayment of more than 400 million hryvnias ($75.8 million) into the state budget of Ukraine.

The Prosecutor's Office thus started a criminal case against managerial officials of Inagro Ltd.

on the fact of office abuse and forgery, resulting in grave consequences.
