Transit freight operations became exempt from VAT
According to the Law "About Amendments into the Law of Ukraine "About 2005 State Budget" and Some Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine", which entered into force on March 31 this year, operations of transit freight transportations through the territory of Ukraine and via seaports are exempt from value added tax. Relevant amendment has been made into Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine about VAT.
The change was made known to heads of forwarding companies through a telegram, addressed to them by the state railway transport administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) on April 5.
