Today's price monitoring on Kyiv wholesale market "Farmer" showed that first wholesale parties of early potato of Ukrainian origin have been supplied on USD $ 4.95/kg; at the same time the early potato of Dutch origin is actively sold on market on USD $ 1.78/kg.
As the market players report, early potato of Ukrainian production was supplied from Kherson oblast, and such a price is determined by the expenses for the production and transportation. Of course, the difference in prices made Dutch potato more competitive on market.
