The prices on past harvest cabbage are decreasing as well as the chances to sell this commodity
Aleksandr Skrebets, the Price Monitoring Specialist of Agricultural Marketing Project informs that today on Kyiv wholesale market "Farmer" the supply of white cabbage of past year harvest still prevailed over the demand. As it was expected, this situation led to the price decrease on this commodity from USD $ 0.63 to 0.59/kg; however, no respective demand growth was observed. A. Skrebets mentions that white cabbage supplied on market is of high quality.
To the analysts' opinion, the sales season is over for white cabbage of past year harvest. This commodity could be sold only if the price on it is lower than the price on early cabbage. Yesterday the wholesale parties of early cabbage were supplied for sale on "Kopani" market on price starting from USD $ 0.39/kg. Today the wholesale price on early cabbage has decreased also in Kyiv and amounts now to USD $ 0.88-0.98/kg. The supply goes on increasing. The main parties of this commodity are supplied from Crimea, Zakarpattya and Odesa.
We expect that the prices on early cabbage are decreasing dynamically soon that let us almost fully replace the old cabbage by the newly harvested early cabbage in our everyday meal.
