The price on strawberry decreased twice in Kyiv

Today on the wholesale market "Farmer" located in "Troyeshchina" district of Kyiv city, the abrupt drop of price on strawberry was observed. According to information provided by Alexander Skrebets, the Price Monitoring Specialist of Agricultural Marketing Project, on Friday the strawberry of such quality was sold on the Kyiv wholesale market mainly on USD $ 5.94/kg; today the price has decreased twice and amounts now to about USD $ 2.97/kg. The price decrease is accompanied by the considerable supply growth.

According to the data of the official statistics, the hugest strawberry suppliers in Ukraine are the producers from Zhytomyr, Dnepropetrovsk, Cherkasy and Chernivtsy oblasts. At the present moment on market the early strawberry is supplied which is produced mainly in Odesa oblast and other southern regions of Ukraine.
