Cauliflowers lowered in price down to USD $ 0.29/kg in Kherson oblast

Today on the wholesale fruit and vegetable market "Kopani", Kherson oblast cauliflowers could be bought on USD $ 0.29/kg, according to the information provided by Roman Rybalko, the Price Monitoring Specialist of Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP). We'll remind that as far as a week ago cauliflowers cost USD $ 1.28/kg on the same market. The specialist explains such abrupt price drop by the necessity to harvest and sell the remnants of this commodity produced in the heated greenhouses and to clear a space for the other crop. The sellers of cauliflowers produced in the non-heated greenhouses hope that later the price will grow up again.

We'd note that according to the results of the wholesale price monitoring in Kyiv and Lviv today cauliflowers price was USD $ 1.18/kg and 0.79/kg respectively.
