The delays in water supply for irrigation needs are observed in Odesa oblast
Valentina Kotsur, the Agronomist of Odesa office, Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP) reports that as a result of the settled hot weather and insufficient soil moisturizing the delay of plant vegetation is recorded on the fields of Ovidiopol, Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy and other southern rayons of the oblast.
Lack of moisture is caused by the defaults of water supply in the irrigation system, so that many farmers can not apply the irrigation to the full extent. The seedlings can't be planted in the open ground at the proper time too; the quality of seedlings is decreasing; as a result the terms of vegetable crops ripening can be moved as well.
