Water-melons came to Odesa market

This week the first set of the imported water-melons (of Turkish production) was supplied to the central Odesa market "Privoz". The small wholesale sets were offered on USD $ 1.38. The retail price is on the level of USD $ 1.97/kg.

The supply of the locally produced water-melons starts as a rule in the middle of July. Past year first water-melons of Ukrainian origin were sold in retail on USD $ 0.39/kg; during two weeks the price has decreased to USD $ 0.19-0.24/kg.
