Ukraine's Parliament gave consent for appointing Yuri Yekhanurov the Prime Minister

On September 22 Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine gave its consent that Yuri Yekhanurov be appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Yekhanurov was appointed in-charge-of prime minister of Ukraine on September 8 by President V. Yushchenko. The parliament took first voting on the appointment of Yekhanorov on September 20, but the decision was overruled. On September 21 the President tabled the candidacy of Yekhanurov as the PM appointee for the second time. This time the decision was favourably voted by 289 Deputies with 226 votes minimally needed.
