Simplified farmland leasing procedures
As Interfax Ukraina reported, Ukrainian President ratified amendments to Land Leasing Code, where land leasing contracts are given simplified procedures to follow.
Amendments say that from now on it is enough to register land leases up to 5 years long at the village council alone without bothering the notary.
This will cut off additional expense of $37.58, which the government asked for registration of the above-mentioned contract.
Only those contracts where land lease goes beyond 5 years remain subject to notary registration. As of today, 6.750 mn villagers own farmland plots where some work the land and others lease it out.
