Kazakhstan and EU banned poultry imports from Ukraine as the infection expands
Kazakhstan and the EU have banned the poultry products imports from Ukraine due to the outburst of bird flu infection in the Crimea.
"Kazakhstan, Russia and the EU have officially declared the prohibition", Nikolay Patsiuk, Deputy Chief of State Department for Veterinary Medicine said to media.
He reminded that Russia had already introduced a ban for imports of chicken products from Ukraine earlier this month.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that as of the current moment, the cases of bird infection and deaths have expanded onto 19 settlements in Nizhnegorsky, Jankoy, Sovietsky and Krasnoperekopsk Raions of the Crimea as well as on the cities of Simferopol and Feodosia and the resort villages of Solnechnoye and Primorsky.
