Ukrainian farmers used US $199 million of credit so far
According to information provided by Mr. Zub, Head of financial and credit policy department within the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to APK-Inform specialist, Ukrainian farms received around US $199 million in credit as of April 12, 2002. This is 19.6 percent less than by the same date of past year. There is an opinion that the decline is due to fact that farmers have more of their own recourses after past year's good crop. More credit compared with 2001 was taken only by farmers of three oblasts: Crimea, Kherson and Donetsk.
