No milk cans! No cisterns!
Interfax-Ukraine reported that Ukrainian government intends to introduce new standard before the end of this year calling for mandatory milk sales only packaged. Speaking to Apr 19th round table on issues of diary sector development Ukrainian Vice-Premier Kozachenko said sales of milk in open cans and cisterns will be banned.
In his opinion these standards shall stimulate conformity to hygienic norms and increase quality of milk going retail.
Statistics shows that past year private individuals made 20.9% of total sales or 579,800 MT.
