Vegetable Prices Continue Growth in the First Ten Days of January According to the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine
In the first ten days of January seasonal price increases on vegetable commodities in Ukraine were reported by the PR and Mass Media Department of the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine.
According to data from price monitoring conducted by the state price control bodies, in the period from 01/01/2006 to 01/10/2005 the average price level on cabbage increased the most up 3% to $0.40/kg. Prices on carrots also increased 2.6% up to $0.38/kg. Other increases include bulb onions +1.4 % (up to $0.42/kg), red beets +1.2 % (up to $0.33/kg), and potatoes +0.5% (up to $0.40/kg).
