Potato price increases in Odesa

Potato supply decrease is observed on Odesa market, according to the information provided by Dmitriy Chernyak, the Market Information Specialist of Odesa office, Agricultural Marketing Project. Market players think that that there is an insufficient supply of wholesale potato sets from the western regions of Ukraine. If nothing changes in some days, the prices will definitely grow. At present moment small wholesale sets of medium-quality potato are sold on $ 0.52-0.54/kg on market. An average retail price is $ 0.54-0.58/kg on "Privoz" central market in Odesa.

According to the wholesale price monitoring conducted by "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly journal, small wholesale potato sets cost today $ 0.49-0.5/kg in Kyiv and $ 0.43-0.47/kg in Lviv.
