Romanian potato is supplied to Odesa

According to the information provided by Agricultural Marketing Project to "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", a significant shortage of quality potato is observed now on Odesa market because of the practically absent supplies of wholesale potato sets from Western Ukraine. At the same time, some market players report about wholesale sets imported from Romania which has never been considered as a large potato producer. According to the information source, wholesale price on Romanian potato is high enough, around $ 0.5/kg.

To the opinion of Dmitriy Chernyak, the Market Information Specialist of Odesa office, Agricultural Marketing Project, potato price can grow further unless potato supplies from the western regions of Ukraine start soon.
