Vigorous demand growth on transplants cartridges is observed in Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy oblast farmers start planting vegetable seeds for transplants production in greenhouses and forcing frames. Pepper and egg-plant seeds are planted first, as these crops are produced only from transplants in the oblast; other vegetables of mainly early varieties are planted too.

Sergey Strokan, the Market Information Specialist of Cherkasy office, Agricultural Marketing Project points out that a vigorous demand growth on transplants cartridges is observed among the farmers. The process of transplants planting to the open ground is easier due to the cartridges; the establishment coefficient and the plants' quality increase much. Under favorable weather conditions cartridge method can serve as an additional factor for yield increase of vegetable crops.

According to the latest survey of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal (to be published in March), nearly 66% of vegetable producers use transplants in production process, 29% of them apply cartridges. The transplants market goes through its rapid development, cartridges are growing more popular. Cartridge sellers have an opportunity to increase sales much in the recent years, to the journal analysts' opinion.
