Russia: bird flu nidi registered in 7 regions
Russia's federal service for veterinary and phyto-sanitary control (Rosselkhoznadzor) said that due to migration of wild birds, as of March 1 the bird flu nidi were registered on the territories of 7 regions in Southern Federal District: the Republics of Kabardino-Balkaria, of Dagestan, Cechen Republic, Republics of Kalmykia and Adygea, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais.
In the Republic of Dagestan there have been registered 25 affected settlements, including 3 nidi at the poultry farms.
In Stavropol Krai the bird flu infection has been detected in private households and small poultry farms.
