US endorses Ukraine's WTO accession
Ukraine and US on Monday signed in Washington the bilateral protocol about mutual access to the markets of goods and services in the run-up of Ukraine's accession to the World Trade Organisation, the local and international media have reported. From the Ukrainian side the protocol was signed by the Economy Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, from the American one - the US Trade Representative Rob Portman.
Mr. Yatseniuk was cited to call the signed protocol "the agreement with neither winner nor loser parties".
"Ukraine will unquestionably by a WTO member. We need this for economic development and for (expansion) of bilateral relations (with the US). We are sure that our economic growth will be poised on the WTO rules," he said.
