Early vegetable season will be significantly shorter than usual this year in Ukraine

The information is provided from the different regions of Ukraine to "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal. The significant vegetation delay for early vegetables is confirmed throughout Ukraine. So the national early vegetables will enter the country markets 1-3 weeks later than usual. The early vegetable season can be shorter; respectively, early produce growers will earn less profit. At the present moment there are no reasons to expect the shipments of the medium vegetable varieties to delay.

Odesa, Zakarpattya, Kherson oblasts and AR Crimea are the largest regions - early produce growers. According to the information of the Agricultural Marketing Project, the early vegetable acreage has extended 15-20% this year in Ukraine.
