Vegetable planting is delayed in Cherkasy oblast

According to the information provided to "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal by Sergey Strokan, the Market Information Specialist of Cherkasy office, Agricultural Marketing Project, the oblast farmers report about complicated planting process for vegetables. High water content in soil is observed in the majority of oblast rayons. Frequent rainfalls are typical for April, but they hamper or fully stop vegetable sowing process. As a consequence, to the present moment onion and early vegetable crops planting has been delayed for not less than two weeks comparing to the previous year.
