Cabbage price is twice as low comparing to previous year in Crimea

There is an excessive supply of cabbage observed on wholesale and retail markets in Crimea now; the commodity is offered for $0.13-0.15/kg. This price is practically twice as low than the price observed at the same period of time past year. This situation is a result of long spring after which early and medium cabbage varieties have ripened practically simultaneously. As a result, excessive cabbage shipments entered Crimean markets and pressed the prices down. The specialists of Crimean office, Agricultural Marketing Project point out the decreased demand for produce commodities; they explain this fact by less tourists having rest in Crimea this year.
