Mad cow disease in Kirovohrad Oblast. Killed and destroyed

UkrInform reported a case of mad cow disease at a private farm in the village of Petrokorobivka, Kirovohrad Oblast where lab research proved positive for the virus in question. The animal was slaughtered and destroyed. The village is under quarantine. 17 people contacting the animal received shots against the disease and 6 of them were placed in a hospital.

As of June 14th measures have been taken by the state veterinary service supervised by the Ministry of Extraordinary Situations.
