The prices for greenhouse commodities are growing in Ukraine

According to information provided by market players, the demand for greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers is increaseing in Ukraine, and the producers are raising sales prices for grown commodities. The greenhouse complexes increased sales prices up to $0.49/kg for tomatoes and $0.43/kg for cucumbers during the previous week.

In the season of active sales of the greenhouse commodities a severe competition is observed between large and small cucumber producers on the inner market. Large producers went on increasing cucumber sales prices up to $0.39-0.43/kg; small producers sold commodities for $0.27-0.33/kg to activate the sales process.

At the present moment the main purchasers of the greenhouse commodities are supermarkets. In future, the circle of greenhouse tomato and cucumber consumers will considerably extend.

The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal forecasted the further price growth for greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes, as the demand for these commodities will go on growing.
