The Agricultural Marketing Project will survey the customers' preferences regarding fresh fruits and vegetables - Fresh Trends 2006
The survey will be conducted by the Agricultural Marketing Project. It should answer the questions like where the consumers buy produce commodities, in what quantity, kind of packing they prefer, as well as many other aspects which characterize the behavior of the buyers of fruits and vegetables. During the survey more than thousand buyers (1080) will be polled in supermarkets. The interviewers will ask questions related to the preferable place of purchase and produce characteristics. The researches plan to get data which characterize the purchase frequency in season and off-season, the importance of trademarks for produce commodities, consumers' preferences regarding packing of various fruits and vegetables, source of the production. Also, the share of expenses for produce commodities in family budget will be estimated, as well as the importance of the produce price while purchasing.
The researches hope that this information will help Ukrainian retail and wholesale trade chains, fruit and vegetable suppliers, and other players of fruit and vegetable trade. The results of the survey will be introduced to the participants of the 3rd international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2006. Open Market" and published on "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" site.
