Innovative vegetables, organic produce, packing and marketing methods are nominated for Fruit Logistica Innovation Award in 2007

The largest international exhibition of the produce business, Fruit Logistica, is a traditional place where the produce companies of the whole world try to present their new products and services. The best of them become nominees of the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award, a special prize for the innovations. The exhibition visitors choose the winner. The company Rijk Zwaan with Salanova lettuce won the competition in 2006.

There are two organic products; mini-vegetables which speed up the cooking process and easy-to-eat; new vegetable varieties; new approaches to packing and marketing of fruits and vegetables are among the nominees. In addition to the nominees, other companies of the produce sector will present the innovative products. So, the exhibition visitors will undoubtedly receive a lot of interesting information, ideas and business contacts here.

We should point out that the "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly journal will present a draft variant of the weekly periodical about the situation on the produce market in Russia and Ukraine in English (this product is planned to be launched in the middle of 2007), and also information about the international conferences "Produce business in Russia 2007" and "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2007" which will be held in October and December 2007 in Moscow and Kyiv respectively.
