Early vegetables are in a great demand before the holidays

The trade on the produce market is still active enough before the Easter holidays, "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal informs. Almost all resellers of early vegetables and fresh herbs point out the increase of the purchased volumes. However, they do not hurry to increase prices: they say, the market is saturated now with early cabbage, radish, greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes, dill, parsley and other types of fresh herbs. The market situation is predetermined by early started supplies this season, as well as by the generally increased number of the resellers of early vegetables both of the national and foreign origin. Having estimated the previous season, the resellers came to the conclusion that early produce growing is a rather profitable business. As a result, many farms decided to extend acreage of the mentioned crops this season. Many producers of Zakarpattya oblast and AR Crimea have started growing early vegetables for the first time; some of them even plan to reduce the cultivation areas of medium and late vegetable varieties.
