Top record volume of bulb onion export from Ukraine was recorded in March 2007

According to information provided by the analysts of ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal", a new record of onion export from Ukraine was observed in March 2007 - our country supplied 17,600 tons of onion abroad. Just to compare, this figure is almost thrice as much than the total volume of onion exported during the whole calendar year 2006, and 154 times as much than the onion export in 2005!

During the first three months of 2007 Ukraine has been able to gain almost $7 mln. due to the onion export. This season bulb onion of Ukrainian origin has been exported to 15 countries; the largest buyers were Russia, Poland, Romania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova and Germany.
