Prices for sweet and sour cherry will be top record in Poland
Polish producers inform ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal" that early May frosts killed most part of sweet and sour cherry harvest in Poland. The trees were in the phase of active blooming and fruit formation in most regions of the country. That's why the Polish market players think the prices for these products will be top record in 2007; the sweet and sour cherry supply is likely to be insufficient to cover the inner market demand.
Most experts are united to think that the prices for sweet cherry will be formed up to $ 3.2-4/kg on fresh market; the price for sour cherry won't go lower $ 1.6-2/kg. Frosts failed to severely affect orchards in Ukraine; so, the lower prices for sweet and sour cherry are possible in our country, to the opinion of the analysts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal.
