Despite of the growth of Polish cabbage import on Ukrainian market, the prices are 6 times as high than a year ago

The experts of CIS produce business periodical, ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly" receive information that the supplies of white cabbage from Poland to Ukrainian market have recently increased. As a result, the average prices for the national produce somewhat declined in separate regions.

At the present moment white cabbage may be sold for $0.6-0.76/kg on the wholesale markets of Ukraine; this product is sold for $0.3-0.4/kg on Bronisze wholesale market in Poland. At this period of time past year cabbage was 6 times as cheap in Ukraine; the prices for cabbage were in average twice as low in Poland. So, the growers of early and medium cabbage varieties may not need to complain on the low cost efficiency of cabbage production this year, if they manage to have harvest this season, of course.
