"Velyka Kyshenya" created "Hit Product"
"Kviza Trade" company, the owner of "Velyka Kyshenya" supermarket chain started producing products under private label "Hit Product", "Ekonomicheskiye Izvestiya" informs.
The assortment includes 60 items now. They are sunflower oil, cereals, flour, sugar, mineral water, crunches, disposable dishes, canned fruits and vegetables, hygienic items. There is a plan to increase the quantity of products up to 150 items by the end of year; the production of more than 1,000 of items is planned for 2009.
Dmitriy Kashirin, Commercial Director of "Kviza Trade" company, says that the investments to this project were required just to form the special Private Label Department (more than 15 persons). The investments have been paid back already.
The pilot lot of products was introduced for sale this summer; now it constitutes 1% of the total nomenclature of the products sold in chain. The company plans increasing this figure up to 8% till the end of 2008.
Iryna Prishchepa, the Chief of Private Label Department of "Kviza Trade" company says, food products and nonfood under "Hit Product" trademark will be minimum 10% as cheap than the branded items.
The price will be lower due to the absence of marketing budget of the introduced items.
