CHUMAK company finished the main stage of new cannery construction in Kakhovka

CHUMAK company has finished the main stage of the construction of a new cannery in Kakhovka; the company informs, more than $10 mln. were invested to this project. CHUMAK company is becoming the national largest vegetable processor, tomato processor, in particular - it is able to process up to 2500 tons per day in the peak season. The plant is the most modern; it is the largest enterprise of such type in Ukraine; it is one of the best plants in Europe. In addition to the production lines, the newest logistics complex has been launched. The storage conditions for the newly canned and newly processed products are significantly better here; the complex preserves the products in their optimal condition for the final consumer. The efficient scheme of tomato take-over is also launched - the solids are monitored to define the quality level of the products, its correspondence to the standards (tomatoes of this enterprise won the highest mark according to the survey results conducted by the center of the independent consumer expertise "Test"). The experimental cookery of the enterprise has developed and implemented new, innovative products for Ukrainian market. Tomato harvester was applied on commercial fields in Khersonskaya region this year, for the first time in Ukraine. Kherson tomatoes and products will occupy the leading positions on Ukrainian market in the nearest future: they will force such companies out of market which use imported raw materials of Turkish and Chinese origin to produce lower-quality product, the company's representatives think. "Chumak" company earned net revenue worth to $72.9 mln. in 2006.
