Ukraine became a member of International Dairy Federation

General Assembly of International Dairy Federation has decided to accept Ukraine into its members. The decision was taken prior to opening of International Dairy Congress, which is held on September 23-27 in Paris.

Commenting on this event, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Kozachenko has said Ukraine's accession to International Dairy Federation is "another step" towards its WTO entry.

According to Kozachenko, Ukraine's membership in Dairy Federation will promote speedier harmonisation of Ukraine's legislative base in dairy field, modernisation and development of dairy industry in accordance with EU requirements.

Besides, this signifies acknowledgement of high quality of Ukrainian milk products, press-service of Ukrainian government reports.
