Odessa wants to export wine to Finland

Nikolay Serdyuk, the Acting Governor of Odessa region, met with Christer Michelsson, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Finland, on the 22nd of November in Odessa Region State Administration, Information Site of Odessa informs.

The Active Governor in his talk to the Ambassador of Finland pointed out that Odesskaya region is able to annually master $8 millions of investments. These funds may be allocated both to reconstruction and development of the network of car routes, and also to the development of seven ports of the region.

"Our city is attractive as transit region, and also, we will be able to increase trade turnover with your country", Mr. Serdyuk added.

Also, Mr. Serdyuk considers wine industry to be a perspective field for investments. "You know that 70% of wine and vineyards of Ukraine are located in Odessa. Wonderful grape varieties are growing in Southern Bessarabia - why should the producers sow wheat there? If grape doesn't grow in Finland, it grows in Odesskaya region, we will be glad to supply it to you".
