Greenhouse vegetables to get 30-50% more expensive by New Year holidays

The analysts of CIS produce business weekly "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" inform that the price growth for greenhouse vegetables continues in Ukraine. The prices have increased almost twofold during the recent 8 weeks. At the present moment the prices for greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers in Kyiv are approximately close to past year records. Bulk shipments of imported products, predominantly of Turkish production, start to enter markets.

According to the forecasts done by "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" analysts, greenhouse vegetables will continue increasing in price till the end of calendar year. After that, a certain price decline is possible. According to the experts' forecasts, greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes may increase in price 30-50% more.

Greenhouse business of Ukraine is developing quite dynamically at the present moment, so that prospective investors from Ukraine and other countries are attracted to it.
