"Agama-Trade" becomes the leader of flash frozen products market on CIS territory
LLC "Agama-Trade" (Russia) and LLC "Agama-Trade" (Ukraine) merged into the holding. So, "Agama-Trade" group of companies became the largest supplier of flash frozen products on CIS market.
The press-service of Ukrainian company informed LIGABusinessInform, the turnover amounted to $ 30 mln. in 2007. In view of the companies' merger and entrance to new markets of CIS countries, the turnover of Ukrainian division of "Agama-Trade" is supposed to at least double in 2008.
According to the company's data, the joint turnover of Russian and Ukrainian divisions of "Agama-Trade" may amount to $320 mln this year - this will be the record figure for CIS countries.
A new subsidiary of the company is expected to start working this month in Moldova; it will be subordinated to Ukrainian division of the company. Also, the company's plans in 2008 are the opening of the own production facilities on the territory of Ukraine - these lines will finally handle the flash frozen products for sale. According to the forecasts, the investments to the enterprise will amount to around $ 3 mln.
To the opinion of Vyacheslav Khorev, Executive Director of Ukrainian division of "Agama-Trade", the volume of Ukrainian market of flash frozen products may significantly increase in 2008: "The past year results proved that the national market has been developing very dynamically. According to our data, the market volume will increase not less than 25% in 2008".
Also, Mr. Khorev said, "Agama-Trade" (Ukraine) plans to start mastering new trade groups in the coming months, such as frozen fish, cooled fish, ready products under private lable "Bukhta Izobiliya".
LLC "Agama-Trade" (Ukraine) was founded in 2001. As of today, it is one of the largest Ukrainian companies on the market of flash frozen products (seafood (shrimps, fish, delicious seafood), confectionary, frozen meat, ready food, berries, mushrooms, vegetables and vegetable mixes, bakery products, semi-ready products). The company manages seven filial offices on the territory of Ukraine: in Gorlovka, Dnepropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lvov, Odessa, Simferopol and Kharkov.
