Russia congratulated Ukraine with the entrance to WTO

Russia acclaims the entrance of Ukraine to World Trade Organization. This was the answer to the questions of Ukrainian journalists made by Yuri Afanasyev, the Senior Counselor of Permanent Mission of Russia to international organizations before the meeting of General Council in Geneva, UNIAN informs.

Mr. Afanasyev forecasts, in July Russia will also become the member of this organization. "We acclaim the entrance of Ukraine, we are very pleased", he said. He supposed that Ukraine would not set any conditions or claims to Russia on the way of the country entrance to WTO.

"When we become WTO members, we will solve all problems to appear on the basis of WTO agreements", Mr. Afanasyev said. He shared an opinion that if Ukraine wished to intervene Russia to enter WTO, it would be very hard to do.

"But, we rely on the numerous testimonies of Ukrainian officials that they will never do this", the Counselor of Russian Federation Permanent Mission pointed out.
