Fruit Logistica-2008: total records again!

The Press Service of Messe Berlin GmbH informed "Fruit-Inform" specialists, the recent Fruit Logistica exhibition has again beat the records of attendance, number of exhibitors and exhibition square. As of today, this is the world largest exhibition for fruit & vegetable business.

According to the organizers' data, 50,000 people from 125 countries attended the exhibition this year, or 16% as much than in 2007. The exhibition square reached 81,000 sq. meters, the number of exhibitors amounted to 2110 this year. The exhibitors represented sixty eight countries of the world. And, 88% of exhibitors and 75% of visitors were foreign companies. The Ministers of Agriculture of many countries participated in the event. Also, numerous events for fruit & vegetable business experts were conducted in the framework of the exhibition.

Three Ukrainian companies were represented on the exhibition: Ukrainian Fruit Company and "Arkadia" companies-importers, and "Fruit-Inform" company (only one company was represented past year).

Russia was much wider represented; seventeen companies from that country participated in Fruit Logistica: Akhmed Fruit Company, Aysel, BaltFruit, Consorfruit Russia, DOEK, Friend Fruits Company, Fruit Brothers, Globus, Greentown, HZPC Sadokas, JFC Fresh, Respec - Konsalt, RGS Co., Sorus, Sunway Group, Tropic Group and X5 Retail Group.
