The single workshop for agricultural products freezing in Far East is under construction in Partizansk of Primorskiy kray

One of the companies of Primorskiy kray is intended to construct in Partizansk town the workshop for flash freezing of the locally grown vegetables, fruits and berries.

The local city council allocated the former base of "Prodstroy" for the construction; it has not been functioning for a long period of time. In accordance with the federal program of the support of the former miners' towns and of the jobs creation in such towns the Economic Development Agency provided around RUR 7 mln. ($290,000) of low-interest loans for the purpose of the premises reconstruction and the purchase of equipment, "Vostok-Media" informs with the reference to the local TV-channel "TVN".

The complex has been under repair since October past year; there is a plan to finish the construction late May.

The production will be launched in July when the harvesting of first berries starts. The new production will be unique - only locally grown agricultural products will be frozen there.

The producers will apply flash freezing technology.

The designed capacity of the to-be-constructed enterprise will be 1,500 tons per year; the assortment will consist of 120 items: champignons and cabbage, raspberry, and various vegetable mixes.

The company also plans to produce various salted and pickled vegetables, natural juices, jams and marmalade in order to use all products which Partizansk may produce. Also, according to the project authors, the new workshop will help the local farmers' movement to develop due to the creation of the new jobs.
