Georgia sharply increased the apple supplies to Ukraine
According to information provided by the analysts of CIS fruit & vegetable business "Fruit-Inform", in 2008 Georgia sharply increased the apple supplies to Ukraine. During the first two months 2008 4,800 tons of apples have been supplied by Georgia to Ukraine, or 6.4 times as greater volume than the volume of apples supplied by this country during 2007 in total.
We'd like to remind that "Fruit-Inform" analysts forecasted the increase of the imports of Georgian apples to Ukraine in the beginning of October 2007. However, the actual supplies exceeded the initial experts' forecast. Also, the forecasts of the weekly concerning the decline of the apple imports to Ukraine in a new season have been coming true by this moment.
