"Baltimor" buys Bagayevskiy cannery
The question of the resumed activities of the cannery was discussed during the meeting of the Administration of Bagayevskiy district on the 15th of April, State TV-Radio company DON-TR informs. The meeting was chaired by Vyacheslav Vasilenko, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Rostovskaya region; the managers of the enterprise and the representatives of Closed JSC "Baltimor-Holding" took part in the event.
Mr. Vasilenko announced that "Baltimor" corporation has already made the principal decision about the purchase of Bagayevskiy cannery. The technical points of the deal are under discussion now.
"Baltimor" plans to launch the first lines this year. The plant is supposed to process squashes, apples and carrots. The perspective is the launch of the green pea processing lines. No information has been released yet about the investments; the Ministry of Agriculture says, the local producers will be able to fully satisfy the company's demand for raw materials.
"Baltimor" holding is ready to develop the own vegetable production in Rostovskaya region; the questions of the rent or purchase of the lands of Bagayevskiy district are under discussion now. The holding representatives emphasize: the own farms available won't substitute the work with the local agricultural producers. According to the tentative data, the production may be launched by the beginning of the processing season, i.e. in the middle of the summer of the current year.
