Ukraine: mushroom market may become fully inner after the entrance to WTO

Ukraine's entrance to WTO will significantly complicate the businesses of the national mushroom producers. This is the assumption of Igor Burakovskiy, the Director of Economic Research Institute, agroua.net portal informs.

As a consequence of the decrease of the import tariff rates down to 15% the sharp increase of the imported mushroom supplies is possible. Also, WTO prepared another unpleasant surprise for Ukrainian mushroom producers. According to the standards of this organization, the mushrooms should be sold in not more than two days since the moment they have been cut off. Our producers are still export mushrooms to Poland, Germany, Lithuania and other countries - however, this market may become exclusively inner in the perspective.

We'd like to remind that you will learn about the opinion of the leading specialists regarding the influence of the new tariff rates and quality standards on the cost efficiency of the mushroom market of Ukraine during the third international conference "Mushroom Industry 2008".
