Kazakhstan: the implementation of the project of the intensive orchards establishment is planned in Almatynskaya region
Almatynskaya region plans the implementation of the large project on the orchard establishment with the application of the intensive technologies and drip irrigation systems on the acreage of 320 ha. Ibrahim Tagashev, the Chairman of the Board of "KazAgroFinance" JSC shared this information during the discussion of the investment projects which took place in the second Central Asian fruit & vegetable forum "KAZAGROFOOD-2008" in Almaty, "Kazinform" informs with the reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the company director, these orchards will produce such fruits like apples, pears, apricots, peaches, plums and sour cherries. The project is grounded on the advanced experience of the establishment of the highly productive intensive fruit orchards in Italy, USA, Holland and Turkey with the usage of the virus-free seedling material. The application of the drip irrigation systems, and also other advanced agri-technologies is provisioned.
The project will be implemented stage by stage during 3 years; the cultivation areas for the orchard establishment will be gradually extended up to 2,000 ha; the CA fruit storage for 7,000 tons will be constructed. Also, the enterprise will install the line for fruit sorting and packing of 20 tons/day capacity; the own transport infrastructure will be created.
Mr. Tagashev said, the implementation of this project let the market players create the largest professional company in Kazakhstan which produces fresh fruits with the application of the most recent global achievements in the area of agri-technologies.
