Belarusian wholesalers are active to buy out early vegetables in Zakarpatskaya region

The market players of Ukraine informed the specialists of "Fruit-Inform" project, the activities of Belarusian wholesalers in Zakarpatskaya region led to the considerably increased wholesale prices for early cabbage in the western region of Ukraine.

At the present moment the trucks with Belarusian numberplates are purchasing early cabbage for the price of $0.72-0.93/kg from the producers in Zakarpattya villages which specialize on the production of early cabbage. According to information of the market players, it often takes them more than two days to purchase 10-20 tons of cabbage there.

The specialists of LLC "Shuvar" inform, the purchase of the same volumes would take significantly less time if the wholesalers purchase cabbage on SHUVAR fruit & vegetable market in Lvov. Moreover, the wholesalers would save more than $ 250 of the fuel expenses and time, of course. The average sales price for the early cabbage on the wholesale market does not differ much from the purchase price for this product in Zakarpatskaya region.

According to the data of the wholesale price monitoring for early cabbage, conducted by "Fruit-Inform" specialists, there is no significant price difference for this product in various regions of the country at the present moment. The prices have stabilized in almost all major production and consumption regions of Ukraine. Early cabbage is in average 70% as more expensive at the present moment than at the same period of time past year.
