Ukraine: champignon prices are almost twice as high than the prices for oyster mushroom

Polish producers of oyster mushrooms are in contact with the specialists of "Fruit-Inform" weekly; they are surprised by the price situation on Ukrainian market of oyster mushroom. The wholesale prices for champignon are in average 80% as high than the prices for oyster mushroom in Ukraine; at the same time, the oyster mushrooms costs 2-2.6 times as more expensive than the champignons in Poland. Polish producers cannot understand how Ukrainian producers of oyster mushrooms are able to warrant the production expenses for such a price level.

According to the data of "Fruit-Inform" wholesale price monitoring, at the present moment the average wholesale price for the oyster mushroom is 2.5-3 times as high in Poland than in Ukraine, so that there are good opportunities for the supplies of the quality products from Ukraine to Poland. At the same time, the prices for the champignons are considerably lower in Poland than in Ukraine.

That's why the interest of Polish market players to the largest mushroom conference of Ukraine "Mushroom Industry 2008" has significantly increased this year.
