Russia: grain purchase interventions results as of Nov 20
In the course of exchange tenders within the framework of ongoing state grain purchasing interventions in Russia, as of November 20, 2002 the state purchased 38,700 tonnes of wheat Class 4 out of 38,700 tonnes put up for tender, Agriculture Ministry's Federal Agency for Food Market Regulation has informed.
For the first time since the start of interventions, milling rye Group A was put up for tender and purchased by state in the amount of 57,200 tonnes.
Over the six trading days since November 13 till November 20 the state bought into intervention fund 295,100 tonnes of milling wheat Class 3, 325,600 tonnes of milling wheat Class 4 and 57,200 tonnes of rye. Total amount of the purchased grain was 677,900 tonnes for the total value of 1.252 billion roubles, out of 6 billion rouble credit provided by the Savings Bank of Russian Federation.
According to Federal Agency's information, as of November 20 state purchases of grain into intervention fund are being continued.
