Russia: Dagestan harvested 170.000 tonnes of potatoes
During this year, the Ministry of Agriculture of Dagestan is to harvest over 385.000 tonnes of potatoes. To date, nearly 170.000 tonnes of potatoes have been harvested, almost up 20.000 tonnes compared to the same period of the last year, RIA Dagestan reported.
The farms of six mountain regions from 42 regions of the Republic have not started harvesting potatoes yet. In some regions, harvesting campaign has been already completed. Babayurtovskiy, Hasavyurtovskiy, Kizlarskiy, Derbentsliy and other regions are among them.
The farmers of Buyknayskiy region received the largest harvest of potatoes- over 34.000 tonnes.
According to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic, this year the yield totals 177 c/ha, almost up 10 centers compared to the previous year. The highest yield of potatoes is observed in the farms of Shamilskiy region- 350 c/ha.
